Tours & Upcoming Events

COME VISIT!  Open public tours are currently being held every Sunday from 1-4pm with guided tours by docents at 1pm and 3pm. There is no registration needed.  We invite you to come see all the recently acquired furnishings and learn about newly uncovered information about the occupants and enslaved families that resided there throughout history.  **No tours will be held on 11/14; we'll be back the following week!

The Hugh Torance House and Store is located on Gilead Road in Huntersville, NC, two miles west of I-77 off exit 23, and approximately 10 miles from uptown Charlotte in the Lake Norman region.

ITS COMING!  Halloween Spirit Days & Paranormal Ghost Hunts

Join us in celebrating Hugh Torance's Irish heritage with spirit hunting and an old fashion family-friendly day of fun!  Did you know that many of the Halloween traditions that we are familiar with today came to America with the 17th and 18th century migrating Irish? 

 

Friday, October 29th @ 8pm - $25  BUY TICKETS

The Charlotte Area Paranormal Society will take you on a spirit (ghost) hunt in the 1770's log cabin store and home. Limited to 20 each night.

Saturday, October 30th @ 10-3pm:   Halloween Spirit Days - FREE

Step back in time for an old-fashioned Halloween day of fun for the kids. (No bouncy house here.) Pumpkin painting, musical chairs, Spooky Halloween Photo Booth, egg toss, tombstone ring toss and Irish storytelling (not too scary). Costumes on the little ones are encouraged but not required.
